PRISM Quartet is an American saxophone quartet founded in 1984 by students of Donald Sinta at the University of Michigan. The quartet is renowned for its innovative programs and collaborations with prominent composers such as Julia Wolfe, William Bolcom, and Jennifer Higdon. PRISM has received two Chamber Music America/ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, and their album "The Fifth Century" with The Crossing won the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance. The quartet has performed at Carnegie Hall, with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra, and conducts residencies at leading conservatories.
