Quartet ES is an American string quartet specializing in the interpretation of contemporary classical music. The ensemble comprises Anton Miller and Ertan Torgul on violins, Rita Porfiris on viola, and Jennifer Kloetzel on cello. Known for their innovative programming and collaborations with modern composers, their latest album, "Elena Ruehr: The Northern Quartets," features three string quartets (Nos. 9, 10, and 11) composed by Elena Ruehr, inspired by locations such as Keweenaw in Michigan, Long Pond in Massachusetts, and Reykjavík in Iceland. The album is set to be released by Avie Records on October 24, 2025.
