LP platne - Quarteto Novo

Quarteto Novo was a Brazilian music group formed in 1966 in São Paulo. Originally known as Trio Novo, the group consisted of Heraldo do Monte (guitar, banjo, viola), Airto Moreira (drums, percussion), and Théo de Barros (bass guitar, guitar). With the addition of flutist Hermeto Pascoal, they renamed themselves Quarteto Novo. In 1967, they released their only album, "Quarteto Novo," which had a significant influence on jazz and popular music. Their music combined traditional Brazilian rhythms, such as baião, with styles like jazz and samba. The group disbanded in 1969, but its members continued successful musical careers.
