R.B. Morris is an American singer-songwriter, poet, and playwright from Knoxville, Tennessee. In the 1980s, he edited the literary magazine Hard Knoxville Review. He has released several albums, including "Take That Ride" (1997) and "Going Back to the Sky" (2020). His music blends elements of folk, country, and rock. He wrote and performed in the play "The Man Who Lives Here Is Loony," about the life of writer James Agee. From 2004 to 2008, he served as writer-in-residence at the University of Tennessee. In 2009, he was inducted into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame.
