Rancid is an American punk rock band formed in 1991 in Berkeley, California. Founders Tim Armstrong (guitar, vocals) and Matt Freeman (bass guitar, vocals) were previously members of Operation Ivy. The current lineup includes Lars Frederiksen (guitar, vocals) and Branden Steineckert (drums). The band is known for albums such as "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), featuring tracks "Time Bomb" and "Ruby Soho", and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). Their tenth studio album, "Tomorrow Never Comes", was released in 2023. Rancid is considered a significant figure in the punk rock revival of the 1990s.
