Rik Emmett is a Canadian singer, guitarist, and songwriter, best known as a member of the hard rock band Triumph. After leaving the band in 1988, he embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as "Absolutely" (1990), "Ipso Facto" (1992), and "The Spiral Notebook" (1995). His musical style encompasses rock, blues, jazz, and classical music. In 2005, he received the Canadian Smooth Jazz Award for Guitarist of the Year. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
