Rob Thomsett is an Australian guitarist and composer known for his progressive jazz-rock albums "Yaraandoo" (1975) and "Hara" (1976). These recordings, originally released in limited quantities in Canberra, have become sought-after examples of Australian underground music. "Yaraandoo" is a concept album inspired by an Aboriginal creation myth, blending Mellotron, Moog, and bamboo flutes. Thomsett's music is often compared to works by Australian artists like Sven Libaek and John Sangster. In 2017, both albums were reissued as a double LP titled "Yaraandoo & Hara".
