Rocky Votolato is an American indie and folk singer-songwriter, born in Dallas, Texas, and based in Seattle, Washington. He began his music career in the 1990s as the vocalist for the punk band Waxwing before embarking on a solo career in 1999. Notable albums include "Suicide Medicine" (2003), "Makers" (2006), and "True Devotion" (2010). Votolato is known for his folk-oriented style, blending acoustic elements with introspective lyrics. In 2015, he released "Hospital Handshakes" in collaboration with producer Chris Walla. In 2022, he released "Wild Roots," an album dedicated to his family.
