Rodney Crowell is an American musician known primarily as a singer and songwriter in country music. Throughout his career, he achieved five number one singles on the Hot Country Songs chart, all from his 1988 album "Diamonds & Dirt". Crowell was influenced by songwriters such as Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, and he played guitar and sang for three years in Emmylou Harris' band, The Hot Band. In 1990, he won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song for "After All This Time", and in 2014, he received the award for Best Americana Album for "Old Yellow Moon" with Emmylou Harris.
