Rolf Lislevand is a Norwegian lutenist and guitarist born in Oslo in 1961. He studied classical guitar at the Norwegian Academy of Music and later specialized in historical instruments at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland under Hopkinson Smith and Eugène Dombois. Lislevand is renowned for his interpretations of Baroque music and has collaborated with notable ensembles such as Hespèrion XXI under Jordi Savall. His significant recordings include "Nuove Musiche" (2006) and "Diminuito" (2009). Since 1993, he has been a professor at the Music Academy in Trossingen, Germany.
