Ruby Rushton is a British jazz ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist Ed Cawthorne, known as Tenderlonious. Formed in 2011 in South London, the group is recognized for its unique blend of modal post-bop, soul-jazz, afrobeat, and hip-hop. Their debut album, "Two For Joy," was released in 2015, followed by "Trudi's Songbook" in 2017 and "Ironside" in 2019. The band is part of the 22a label, founded by Tenderlonious. Members include trumpeter Nick Walters and keyboardist Aidan Shepherd. Ruby Rushton is considered a significant figure in the contemporary British jazz scene.
