Ruphus was a Norwegian progressive rock band formed in 1970. Their debut album, "New Born Day" (1973), is considered a classic of Norwegian progressive rock. The band released several other albums, including "Ranshart" (1974) and "Let Your Light Shine" (1976). Their music combined elements of rock, jazz, and classical music. Ruphus was known for their complex arrangements and technical proficiency. The band disbanded in 1981, but their music remains an important part of Norwegian rock history.
