Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in Toronto in 1968. The original lineup consisted of Geddy Lee (vocals, bass, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). The band was known for its virtuosic musicianship, complex compositions, and lyrics influenced by science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy. Notable albums include "2112" (1976), "Moving Pictures" (1981), and "Clockwork Angels" (2012). Throughout their career, they achieved 14 platinum and 3 multi-platinum albums in the US, and 17 platinum albums in Canada. Rush was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
