Ruud Breuls is a Dutch jazz trumpeter known for his participation in various big bands and jazz ensembles. Together with saxophonist Simon Rigter, he formed a quintet that released the album "Rise and Shine" in 2019. This album features original compositions by the band members and one piece by Thelonious Monk. Breuls is also active as a soloist in the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw and the German WDR Big Band.
