Ryan Shultz Quintet is a jazz ensemble led by Ryan Shultz, one of the few bass trumpeters in jazz. Their debut album, "Hair Dryers," was released on January 29, 2015, under Origin Records. The album features ten tracks, including the title track "Hair Dryers" and "There, I Touched It." Shultz's virtuosity on the bass trumpet is evident throughout the album, characterized by lyrical lines and aggressive rhythms. Recorded in Chicago, the album showcases some of the finest players on the local jazz scene.
