Sade is a British musical group formed in London in 1982 by vocalist Sade Adu, bassist Paul Denman, saxophonist and guitarist Stuart Matthewman, and keyboardist Andrew Hale. Their debut album, "Diamond Life" (1984), featured hits like "Your Love Is King" and "Smooth Operator". Subsequent successful albums include "Promise" (1985), "Stronger Than Pride" (1988), "Love Deluxe" (1992), "Lovers Rock" (2000), and "Soldier of Love" (2010). The group has received several awards, including the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1986 and Best Pop Vocal Album in 2002.
