Sam & Dave were an American soul and R&B duo composed of Sam Moore and Dave Prater. They performed together from 1961 to 1981 and were renowned for their energetic, gospel-infused performances. Their biggest hits include "Soul Man," "Hold On, I'm Comin'," and "I Thank You." They primarily recorded at Stax Records in Memphis, collaborating with producers Isaac Hayes and David Porter.
