Sandy Denny was an English singer-songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention. After a brief stint with The Strawbs, she joined Fairport Convention in 1968, remaining until 1969. She then formed the band Fotheringay in 1970 before pursuing a solo career. Her solo albums include "The North Star Grassman and the Ravens" (1971), "Sandy" (1972), "Like an Old Fashioned Waltz" (1974), and "Rendezvous" (1977).
