Satoko Fujii is a Japanese jazz pianist and composer renowned for her innovative contributions to avant-garde jazz. After studying at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory in the USA, she returned to Japan, where she formed several ensembles, including the quartet Kaze. Her discography includes over 80 albums, with "April Shower" being one of her notable works. Fujii is recognized for her improvisational skills and has collaborated with artists such as Natsuki Tamura and Myra Melford.
