Sawyer Brown is an American country music band formed in 1981 in Apopka, Florida. Originally members of singer Don King's road band, they chose to continue together after King's retirement. The group has released 18 studio albums and over 50 singles, with three reaching number one on the Hot Country Songs chart: "Step That Step" (1985), "Some Girls Do" (1992), and "Thank God for You" (1993). Their music blends elements of country pop and country rock. In 1985, they received the Horizon Award from the Country Music Association, and in 1997, they were honored as Vocal Group of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.
