Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Marilyn Crispell, Hamid Drake, and Myra Melford. Notable albums include "Kintsugi," "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame," and "Mamet." Fields is recognized for his innovative approach to guitar and composition, often blending improvisation with structured composition. He currently resides in Cologne, Germany.
