Screaming Females was an American rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, consisting of Marissa Paternoster (vocals, guitar), Jarrett Dougherty (drums), and Mike Abbate (bass guitar). Formed in 2005, the band was known for their DIY ethos and energetic live performances. They released eight studio albums, including "Baby Teeth" (2006), "Power Move" (2009), "Ugly" (2012), and "Rose Mountain" (2015). Their music blended elements of punk rock, indie rock, and alternative rock. In 2012, Marissa Paternoster was named the 77th greatest guitarist of all time by Spin magazine.
