Shade Empire is a Finnish extreme metal band formed in 1999 in Kuopio. Their music blends symphonic black metal with melodic death metal and industrial elements. They released their debut album, "Sinthetic," in 2004 under Avantgarde Music. Subsequent albums include "Intoxicate O.S." (2006), "Zero Nexus" (2008), and "Omega Arcane" (2013). In 2017, Henry Hämäläinen joined as the new vocalist. Their sixth album, "Sunholy," released in 2023, marks a shift towards melodic death metal while retaining symphonic elements.
