Shallow North Dakota is a Canadian sludge/noise rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. Formed in the early 1990s, they released their debut album "Auto Body Crusher" in 1994 under the name "Shallow". Subsequent reissues were released under the name "Shallow North Dakota". In 1997, they released their second album "This Apparatus Must Be Earthed". Their music is known for heavy guitar riffs and intense vocals. The band collaborated with Kittens on the split album "Rhinocerous Love" in 1996.
