Shepherds Reign is a New Zealand heavy metal band formed in 2013 in Auckland. The group has released two albums: their self-titled debut "Shepherds Reign" in 2018 and "Ala Mai" in 2023. Their music blends alternative and groove metal with lyrics in both English and Samoan. The album "Ala Mai" won awards in the SunPix Best Pacific Language and Best Pacific Music Album categories. The band has performed at festivals such as the Teuila Festival in Samoa and Riddu Riđđu in Norway. In 2025, they plan to tour with the band Alien Weaponry.
