Sinéad O'Connor was an Irish singer-songwriter, born on December 8, 1966, in Dublin. Her debut album, "The Lion and the Cobra" (1987), achieved international success. She reached her greatest commercial success with "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" (1990), featuring the hit "Nothing Compares 2 U." Throughout her career, she released ten studio albums, including "Am I Not Your Girl?" (1992) and "Universal Mother" (1994). O'Connor was known for her controversial actions, such as tearing a photo of Pope John Paul II on "Saturday Night Live" in 1992. She passed away on July 26, 2023, in London at the age of 56.
