Slagmaur is a Norwegian black metal band from Brekstad and Trondheim, formed in 1997 under the name Norske Synder. The band is known for its avant-garde approach to black metal, combining traditional elements with classical instruments and children's nursery rhymes. Notable albums include "Skrekk Lich Kunstler" (2007), "Von Rov Shelter" (2009), and "Thill Smitts Terror" (2017). Slagmaur is also recognized for their theatrical and controversial live performances, featuring horror aesthetics and bizarre scenes. The band is considered part of the Nidrosian Black Metal movement that emerged in the Trondheim region.
