Slide Action is a British trombone quartet formed in 2018, comprising Huw Evans, Jamie Tweed, Benny Vernon, and Josh Cirtina. The ensemble is recognized for its approach to contemporary chamber music, regularly commissioning new works from modern composers. Their debut album, "RE:BUILD," was released in October 2024 under NMC Recordings and features compositions by Ryan Latimer, Laura Jurd, Emily Hall, Alex Paxton, and Joanna Ward. The album was recorded in February 2024 at All Saints Church in London. Slide Action received the 4BARSREST - 2024 SOLO/ENSEMBLE CD OF THE YEAR WINNER award, and their album was named "Recording of the Month" in December 2024 by BBC Music Magazine.
