Sonya Bach is a South Korean pianist born in 1981. She began playing the piano at the age of three and gave her first concert at five. At nine, she debuted with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. She studied at the Juilliard School in New York and the Accademia Pianistica "Incontri col Maestro" in Italy under Lazar Berman. She has received awards such as the Gina Bachauer Memorial Award and first place at the Eugen d'Albert International Music Competition. Her discography includes recordings of works by J.S.
