Spartan Warrior is a British heavy metal band formed in 1980 in Sunderland. The original lineup consisted of Gordon Webster (drums), Tom Spencer (bass), Dave Wilkinson (vocals), Neil Wilkinson (guitar), and John Stormont (guitar). In 1983, they released their debut album "Steel n' Chains" under Guardian Records, followed by a self-titled album in 1984 under Roadrunner Records. After disbanding in 1985, the band reunited in 2009 and released "Behind Closed Eyes" in 2010. Their fourth album, "Hell to Pay," was released in 2018. Spartan Warrior is known for their contribution to the NWOBHM movement and energetic live performances.
