Steve Davis is an American jazz trombonist known for his lyrical and energetic style. Born in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he grew up in Binghamton, New York. He studied under Jackie McLean at the Hartt School. In 1989, he joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. Davis has collaborated with artists such as Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, and Horace Silver. He has released over 20 albums as a leader, including "Bluesthetic" (2022) and "Correlations" (2019). He is a member of the sextet One for All and serves as a professor at the Hartt School.
