Stone Sour was an American rock band formed in 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. The original lineup included vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Josh Rand, bassist Shawn Economaki, and drummer Joel Ekman. After a hiatus from 1997 to 2000, the band reunited and released six studio albums, including "Stone Sour" (2002), "Come What(ever) May" (2006), and "Hydrograd" (2017). Their music encompasses genres such as alternative metal, post-grunge, and alternative rock. The band received three Grammy Award nominations for Best Metal Performance for the songs "Get Inside," "Inhale," and "30/30-150." In 2020, they announced an indefinite hiatus.
