STUD is a Finnish heavy rock band known for their powerful sound, blending classic hard rock with melodic heavy metal. Formed in 1986, the band took a hiatus in the 1990s and returned in 2011. Their debut album, "Out of the Darkness," was released in 2013, featuring a mix of new tracks and re-recorded songs from their early days. Subsequent albums include "Rust on the Rose" (2014), "Circle of Lies" (2017), and "War of Power" (2020). In 2025, they released their fifth album, "Under Silver Sky." The current lineup consists of Ari Toivanen (vocals), Mika Kansikas (guitar), Lauri Leno (bass), and Stenda Kukkonen (drums).
