Sublime is an American ska punk band from Long Beach, California, formed in 1988. The original lineup consisted of Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Eric Wilson (bass), and Bud Gaugh (drums). The band released three studio albums: "40oz. to Freedom" (1992), "Robbin' the Hood" (1994), and "Sublime" (1996). Their music blends elements of ska, punk, reggae, and hip-hop. Following Nowell's death in 1996, the band disbanded. In 2023, Wilson and Gaugh reunited with Jakob Nowell, Bradley Nowell's son, and performed at the Coachella festival in 2024.
