Sugar Blue, born James Joshua Whiting, is an American blues harmonica player renowned for his virtuosity and innovative style. Born in 1949 in New York City, he began his career as a street musician. In the 1970s, he collaborated with artists like Johnny Shines and Roosevelt Sykes. In 1978, he contributed the harmonica solo to the Rolling Stones' hit "Miss You." In the 1980s, he joined Willie Dixon's Chicago Blues All Stars and won a Grammy for his contribution to the album "Blues Explosion."
