Switchfoot is an American rock band from San Diego, California. The band consists of Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Chad Butler (drums, percussion), and Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Guitarist Drew Shirley was a member from 2005 to 2022. After initial success in the Christian rock scene, Switchfoot gained wider recognition with four of their songs featured in the 2002 film "A Walk to Remember." Their 2003 album "The Beautiful Letdown" included hits "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move." The 2009 album "Hello Hurricane" won a Grammy Award for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. The band is known for their energetic live performances.
