Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music group founded by Edgar Froese in 1967. The band is known for long instrumental tracks based on synthesizer and sequencer sounds, leading to the development of styles known as 'Berlin School' and 'Kosmische Musik'. Their breakthrough album 'Phaedra' from 1974 achieved gold status in the United Kingdom. After Froese's death in 2015, the group continues with members Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane, and Paul Frick.
