Ted Hawkins was an American singer-songwriter born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Throughout his career, he alternated between performing on the streets of Venice Beach, California, and touring in Europe and Australia. His debut album, "Watch Your Step," was released in 1982, followed by "Happy Hour" in 1986. In 1994, he released "The Next Hundred Years" under Geffen Records. Hawkins was known for his unique style that blended elements of blues, soul, and folk. He collaborated with musicians such as Robert Cray and Phillip Walker. He passed away from a stroke on January 1, 1995.
