Ted Taylor was an American soul singer who began his career with the gospel group Mighty Clouds of Joy and later joined the doo-wop group The Cadets. In 1958, he embarked on a solo career, releasing several albums including "Be Ever So Wonderful" (1963) and "Blues and Soul" (1965). His most notable songs include "Somebody's Always Trying" and "Be Ever Wonderful". Taylor was known for his unique falsetto voice and emotive delivery. Throughout his career, he collaborated with several prominent producers and labels. He died in a car accident in 1987.
