The Beat Farmers were an American rock band formed in San Diego in 1983. Their music blended elements of rock, country rock, and rockabilly. They released their debut album, "Tales of the New West," in 1985, followed by "Van Go" (1986) and "The Pursuit of Happiness" (1987). Known for their energetic live performances, the band achieved a cult following in the 1980s and 1990s. After the death of drummer and vocalist Country Dick Montana in 1995, the band disbanded. In 2024, the remaining members reunited and began performing again in San Diego and throughout the Southwest. The products available from the artist The Beat Farmers include vinyls.
