cd - The Big Jazz Thing
The Big Jazz Thing is a German jazz ensemble formed in 2013 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 'Jazz thing Next Generation' series. The group comprises eight musicians, including four ECHO award winners. Their album 'A Next Generation Celebration' features eight tracks recorded in April 2013 at The Loft studio in Cologne. The album was released on October 25, 2013, under the Double Moon Records label. The ensemble performed at several festivals in Germany, including Elbjazz in Hamburg and the Palatia Festival in Rheingau. After their final concert in spring 2014, the members returned to their individual projects.
