The Blackwood Apology was an American rock band from Minnesota, led by Dale Menten, a former member of The Gestures. In 1969, they released the concept album "House of Leather," which combined soft sunshine-pop harmonies with complex, acid-tinged arrangements. The album later became the basis for a rock opera that was successfully staged. The recording was reissued in 2023 by Sundazed Music.
