tricko - The Bodysnatchers
The Bodysnatchers were a seven-member female band involved in the British 2 Tone ska revival of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Formed in London in 1979 by Nicky Summers, they released two singles on 2 Tone Records: "Let's Do Rock Steady" (UK No. 22) and "Easy Life" (UK No. 50). Their lineup included Rhoda Dakar (vocals), Sarah Jane Owen (lead guitar), Stella Barker (rhythm guitar), Nicky Summers (bass guitar), Penny Leyton (keyboards), Miranda Joyce (alto saxophone), and Jane Summers (drums). After disbanding in 1981, some members continued their musical careers in groups such as The Belle Stars and The Special AKA.
