The Chantels are an American girl group from the Bronx, New York, formed in the 1950s. They are considered one of the first African-American girl groups to achieve nationwide success. Their most notable songs include "Maybe" and "Look in My Eyes". The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002.
