The Clancy Brothers were an influential Irish folk group formed in 1956 in New York City. Originally consisting of brothers Paddy, Tom, and Liam Clancy, along with Tommy Makem, the group is credited with revitalizing traditional Irish music in the United States and popularizing it in Ireland. Their notable albums include "The Rising of the Moon" (1956), "Come Fill Your Glass with Us" (1959), and "The Boys Won't Leave the Girls Alone" (1962). Their music influenced artists such as Bob Dylan and Christy Moore. The group remained active until 1998, undergoing several lineup changes.
