The Don Powell Band, led by Slade drummer Don Powell, collaborated with Bev Bevan, former member of Electric Light Orchestra and The Move, on the single "I Am The Beat." This track, originally a 1980 hit by The Look, was released in March 2024 and reached number one on the UK Heritage Chart. The band also released a cover of "My Sharona." The collaboration between Powell and Bevan highlights their extensive experience in rock music.
