The Drones are an Australian alternative rock band formed in 1997 in Perth. The group has released six studio albums, including "Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By" (2005) and "Havilah" (2008). Their music blends elements of alternative rock, garage rock, and folk rock. In 2016, the band announced a hiatus, with members Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin forming a new group, Tropical Fuck Storm.
