The Japanese House is the stage name of English indie pop musician Amber Mary Bain from Buckinghamshire. Throughout her career, she has released several EPs, including "Pools to Bathe In" and "Clean" in 2015, "Swim Against the Tide" in 2016, and "Saw You in a Dream" in 2017. Her debut album, "Good at Falling," was released on March 1, 2019, under the Dirty Hit label. In 2023, she released her second album, "In the End It Always Does." Bain is known for her androgynous vocals and experimental approach to indie pop, collaborating with members of The 1975 and producer BJ Burton.
