The Pogues are an English band formed in London in 1982 by Shane MacGowan, Spider Stacy, and Jem Finer. Their music blends traditional Irish music with punk influences. Their debut album, "Red Roses for Me," was released in 1984, followed by "Rum Sodomy & the Lash" in 1985. Notable songs include "Fairytale of New York" featuring Kirsty MacColl. The band disbanded in 1996 but reunited from 2001 to 2014. After MacGowan's death in 2023, remaining members Stacy, Finer, and Fearnley reunited in 2024 and plan a UK and Ireland tour in 2025.
