The Red Fox Chasers were an American old-time music group active from 1927 to 1931. Formed at the Union Grove Fiddler's Convention in North Carolina, the band comprised A.P. "Fonzie" Thompson (guitar, vocals), Bob Cranford (harmonica, vocals), Paul Miles (banjo, vocals), and Guy Brooks (fiddle). They recorded 48 tracks for Gennett Records, including "Did You Ever See the Devil, Uncle Joe?" and "Wreck on the Mountain Road." Their repertoire featured traditional ballads, gospel songs, and instrumental pieces. After disbanding, the members continued their musical pursuits locally.
